Appetizer ham rolls – cooking recipe with photo.

Sometimes snacks make a much bigger impression on the owners of the house than you might expect. So, if you have to receive important guests, for example, future relatives, especially in the person of your significant other’s mother, it is very important to make a favorable impression. That is why the ability to pleasantly surprise is so important and useful.

20 pitted dates;
20 slices of prosciutto (Italian ham made from the rind);
100-120 g of Gorgonzola cheese;

For the honey-vinegar sauce:
1/4 cup of balsamic vinegar;
2 tablespoons of honey;
a pinch of coarsely ground salt;
1/4 teaspoon of black pepper.

We are preparing ham rolls.

Cut the prosciutto, salted ham in a special way, into thin slices.

Then cut the dates on one side and prepare them for stuffing.

Mash some moldy cheese, gorgonzola is best, and fill each date with it.

Carefully wrap the cheese-filled dates in the ham slices.

It seems like you could stop here and serve the rolls to the table, but prosciutto (if you use it and not another ham) may seem salty to some, so it is best to serve them with sauce.

Prick the rolls on toothpicks. They are needed not so much for fixation as for more convenient eating, so that they can be easily taken from the plate and sent directly to the mouth.

Place the rolls on the rack above the baking sheet in the oven. It is best to cover the baking tray with foil so that it does not have to be washed. During the entire cooking time, you can not turn the rolls, and 10 minutes before they are ready, you can start lowering the temperature little by little.

Measure and pour 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar into a small saucepan.

Add two tablespoons of honey and season with a little salt and plenty of black pepper.

Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until the contents are reduced to 75%. Its color should become a thick dark brown. All this should take 7-10 minutes.

It is best to serve the rolls on small plates or trays, sprinkling the top with honey and vinegar sauce while they are still warm.

Snacks are ready! Treat your guests!
