Berry jam is always a ready-made dessert for tea in winter. And not only for tea. This, in my opinion, is always a win-win option when you want to treat your guests to something delicious by quickly setting the table.

Ingredients:
cherry – 100 g;
black currant – 250 g;
red currant – 150 g;
strawberries – 100 g;
blueberries – 200 g;
raspberries – 200 g;
sugar – 700 g;
citric acid – 1 teaspoon;
pictin – 1 package.

The method of making jam from berries.

The berry jam that I prepared will have cherry in its composition.

Wild blueberries and fragrant strawberries.

Aromatic garden black currant.

I washed all the berries and laid them out on paper to dry.

She removed the pits from the cherries.

I transferred all the berries to a saucepan with thick walls. She added seven hundred grams of sugar to a kilogram of berries.

I can say that it was possible to add 100-150 grams of sugar. She left the berries with sugar for the night. And in the morning, I mixed it several times.

And she put it on a minimum fire, mixed it, waited for the jam to boil.

With constant stirring, I added one package of pectin to thicken the syrup.

As soon as the jam boiled, I added citric acid.

She counted five minutes and turned off the gas.

I sterilized the jars over steam. I checked the bottom of the cans. If the bottom is so hot that it burns the little finger when touched, the jars are sterilized.

Before sealing the jars, the lids were lowered into boiling water and “boiled” for ten minutes. They “stick” better when hot. I’m referring to cans with screw-on lids. Bring the jam to a boil over low heat.

Boiled for five minutes. Turned off the gas. She poured the jam into jars.

She turned it upside down, covered it with a towel. The jam turned out to be very thick and aromatic. In addition, it preserved the color of the berries. Served with cookies with coffee. It turned out a very tasty and beautiful dessert.
