Chicken fillet in sweet and sour sauce – a recipe with a photo

Today we are preparing a traditional Chinese dish from ordinary products that every housewife has.

chicken fillet – 500 g;
soy sauce – 100 ml;
vinegar – 1 tablespoon;
sugar – 30 g;
salt – 5 g;
pineapples – 100 g;
starch – 50 g;
tomato paste or ketchup – 20 g;

The process of cooking chicken.

Cut the chicken fillet into cubes or cubes. Transfer to a deep bowl in which it will marinate. The chicken should be poured with soy sauce so that it barely covers it. We leave the pieces to marinate like this for at least half an hour.

Cut our vegetables into large cubes: onion, bell pepper.

Before frying, I pour starch into the marinated chicken – this will be our batter. It is he who will give a golden crust. I will leave some starch for the sauce.

Pour a lot of oil into the pan and, when it is well heated, fry the chicken in it in small portions. Literally after 3 minutes, the pieces become golden, they can be removed from the fire.

Now you need to fry onions and peppers in a small amount of oil. Add tomato paste, vinegar and pineapples here. I will add salt, sugar and starch. To make the sauce thinner, you can add pineapple juice or water.

After the vegetables have fried for at least 5 minutes, add the fried chicken.

I put the finished chicken in a sweet and sour sauce with pineapples in the center of the plate.
