Chicken breast is a frequent guest on our table. Everyone knows that it is rich in protein, easily absorbed and ideal for those who want to maintain their figure and health. I often cook it in a white sauce and serve it with boiled pasta or rice. Another option is pilaf.
Today, I added mushrooms to the usual white sauce – it turned out a new, almost festive dish. Want to try it? Cook with me!
Ingredients:
— about 600 g of chicken breast fillet;
— 400 g of champignons;
— onion;
— seasoning for chicken;
– salt;
– 1 glass of milk;
— 2 tablespoons of flour;
— 50 g of butter;
— 8-12 medium-sized potatoes;
— 8 cloves of garlic.
Delicious preparation of chicken fillet with mushrooms.
Let’s start with the side dish. Peel the potatoes, cut them into slices. Prepare aromatic oil: 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil, mix with chopped garlic (4 cloves) and any spices and salt.
Pour the mixture over the potato wedges.
Bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees. Bake until ready (about half an hour; check with a knife). While the potatoes are baking, we will prepare the main dish. Clean and chop the onion.
Fry in butter. Clean the mushrooms and cut them into slices.
Let’s add fried onions. Fry for about 15 minutes on medium heat. Cut the chicken into small cubes.
We will also send it to the pan. Fry until white. Add flour and mix well. Pour in milk (if desired, it can be replaced with cream), add salt, chopped garlic and spices and send to the oven. Bake until ready (about 15 minutes).
Tasty and hearty! Perfectly combined with a salad of fresh vegetables, which are getting cheaper before your eyes. And a little more – and their cucumbers and tomatoes will ripen.
