Chicken in the oven with apples – a recipe with a photo

Today we will consider the recipe for cooking chicken baked in the oven with apples in honey sauce. This is a truly festive dish. The result is very juicy and tender meat, which is complemented by a sweet and sour apple taste.

chicken carcass – 1,6-1,9 kg;
apples – 300 g;
raisins – 2-3 tbsp. l.;
garlic – 6-8 cloves;
vegetable oil – 5 tbsp. L.;
tomato paste – 250 g;
honey – 3-4 tbsp. L.;
spices – to taste;
pepper and salt – to taste.

Prepare the marinade. Mix the garlic passed through a press with melted honey, tomato paste, butter, add salt, pepper and spices to taste. Mix everything thoroughly.

Wash the chicken well, remove the excess. Spread the prepared marinade inside and out. Cover with a film and place in the refrigerator for 12 hours.

Let’s prepare the filling. Cut the peeled apples into cubes and combine with raisins.

Fill the marinated chicken with the filling, and close the cut with a toothpick.

Line a baking dish with foil, place the chicken and cover with foil. It is necessary that the shiny side of the foil is inside.

We will bake the chicken for 1,5-2 hours in an oven heated to 180 degrees Celsius.

15 minutes before readiness, unfold the foil so that the chicken browns.
