Note to everyone who does not like to fiddle around the stove for a long time. Or you just don’t have much time to prepare dinner, like I did last night. In this and other cases, you can always cook chicken legs in the oven, as it does not require much time or effort.
Ingredients for chicken legs in the oven:
1 kg of chicken legs;
50 g of mayonnaise;
3-4 tablespoons of vegetable oil;
salt and pepper to taste;
salad leaves for serving.
Cooking chicken legs in the oven.
Chicken legs, aka drumsticks, need to be thawed if they were frozen. To do this, you can simply leave them at room temperature for several hours. I take them out of the freezer in the morning if I’m going to cook in the evening. Be sure to rinse with warm water.
Salt and pepper the legs. Distribute the spices evenly with your hands, so that nowhere is oversalted or over-peppered.
I pour sunflower (or other vegetable) oil on a pan or baking sheet. I put the legs on the pan.
Put a little mayonnaise on each leg.
Then evenly spread mayonnaise on the surfaces of the legs. We heat the oven to a temperature of 200 degrees Celsius and send the legs to bake for about forty minutes. Bake until done. To understand whether the bird is ready or not, it is enough to pierce it with a fork in several places. If the juice is light, then the chicken is ready.
You can put the bitter chicken legs on lettuce leaves and serve them for dinner. Any vegetables or pasta are suitable as a side dish.
