Chicken liver in the oven. Cooking from the photo.
Cooking a juicy liver in the oven is even easier than cooking it in a pan. I learned this after a cooking battle with my friend. Yesterday, my child and I came to visit her, and she was cooking chicken liver, but not in a pan, but in the oven. I decided that such a dish could not be tasty, and my friend suggested battle. The judges were our children, and the winner was given a prize – a new recipe.
In general, I want to confess to you that yesterday I lost to my friend. Her chicken liver turned out to be much tastier than the one I cooked in a pan. It is not a shame to lose, if you lose, you get a delicious recipe for cooking juicy and soft liver as a gift.
Today I repeated yesterday’s master class of a friend on cooking liver in the oven and I am ready to share the recipe with you. I think you should like this dish too.
Ingredients:
chicken liver – 500 g;
onion – 2 pcs.;
salt and ground black pepper – to taste;
sugar – 1-2 tsp;
vegetable oil – 1 tbsp. L.;
butter – 1-2 tbsp. l.
Cooking liver in the oven.
We wash the chicken liver and cut it into pieces that will be easy to knit with a fork (I managed to cut it in half).
We put pieces of liver in a form with foil, which we grease with a spoonful of vegetable oil.
We send the chicken liver to the oven to prepare. There, at a temperature of 200 degrees, it will bake for 15 minutes.
While the liver is being prepared, you won’t have to be bored. Peel the onion and cut into pieces.
We send onion pieces to a pan with butter. Immediately salt the onion to taste, and then fry until soft. After the onion pieces have become transparent and soft, add sugar and leave to caramelize until ready.
During this time, the chicken liver should be ready. Cut a piece of liver, and look at the cut – the liquid should be transparent.
Salt and pepper the finished liver. Mix well, but so as not to damage the soft liver (it is better to shake intensively).
We connect the liver with onions, or immediately serve the dish to the table, or leave it to soak in the juices a little while you prepare it for the table. You can even serve it in a pan to make it more appetizing.
My husband also appreciated this recipe today. My son also asked not to be offended yesterday, but he chose this option of cooking the liver, and today he was happy to eat it again for lunch.
I wish you easy preparation and pleasant taste!
