Chicken wings in the oven – a recipe with a photo.

These are not just wings baked in the oven, these are not burnt and dried chicken fragments, but the most juicy, moderately spicy, incredibly crispy ones cooked in the oven for dinner. And as a bonus, I offer to cover this beauty with ginger-garlic glaze.

Ingredients:
2,5 kg of chicken wings;
salt and ground black pepper;
3 Art. l. Frank’s spicy sauce;
2 Art. l. grape seed oil (can be replaced with olive oil);
1/2 cup of flour.

For the icing:
3 crushed cloves of garlic;
2 Art. l. grated ginger, or to taste;
1 Art. l. Sambal chili sauce (or half a teaspoon of hot pepper flakes);
1/2 cup of rice vinegar;
1/2 cup of brown sugar;
1 tsp. soy sauce

Chicken wings recipe.

Wash the chicken wings and cut them into three parts. Those parts, “chicken fingers”, which are in the background, we will not need in this recipe. But later they can be used to prepare excellent chicken broth for various culinary needs.

Place in a large bowl. Add salt and ground black pepper, grape seed oil.

Red chili sauce can be called the official and constant partner of chicken wings. Pour it as much as the taste suggests.

Pour a couple of glasses of flour into a clean plastic bag and put the wings there. Mix the contents so that the wings are covered with an even layer of flour. This procedure is best done in two stages. That is, divide the wings into two parts and shake each in flour.

Sprinkle with vegetable oil and send them to an oven heated to 200 degrees for 30 minutes.

Half an hour has passed. They took out the baking sheet, turned each wing over and put it back in the oven for another 30 minutes.

In the meantime, let’s make the garlic-ginger glaze. Squeeze the garlic into a pan, add finely grated ginger to it. Notice how much ginger I added. Of course, this is not 2 tablespoons. In general, everything is to taste. Do not forget about a tablespoon of chili sauce Sambal, which can be replaced with red pepper flakes. I added both!

Half a glass of rice vinegar, half a glass of cane sugar and a teaspoon of soy sauce.

They stirred it, put it on the fire, when it boils – remove it from the stove. Done!

It’s time to return to the wings in the oven, or rather, take them out.

Carefully place the wings in a large bowl, pour the glaze, cover with a lid or a suitable plate and gently shake again several times so that the wings are evenly covered with the glaze. Put them on the baking sheet where they were baked and put them in a cooling oven for 15 minutes for the final preparation of the glaze.
