Cobb salad. Recipe with photo / Salads / Delicious

Cobb salad, which is very popular in the USA, is, in my opinion, a great dish for the festive table – tasty, filling and beautiful. The salad is named after the American restaurateur Bob Cobb, who, in fact, became the inventor of this dish. Mandatory ingredients included in Cobb salad are chicken breast, bacon, eggs, tomatoes, avocado, blue cheese, salad greens and mustard dressing based on vegetable oil and wine vinegar. You can serve the salad on one large plate or make small individual portions. The specified amount of ingredients makes approximately 4 servings of salad.

Cut the bacon into strips, put it on a dry heated pan and, stirring, brown it well. Place the fried bacon on a plate covered with a paper towel.

Cut the fillet into two flat parts, add salt and pepper on both sides and fry in the fat rendered from the bacon. Fry the fillet on medium heat for 7-8 minutes. on each side.

To prepare this salad, you can use boiled (in salted water) chicken fillet.

Cool the chicken a little and cut it into cubes.

Cut the avocado in half lengthwise, remove the pit, peel and cut into cubes.

Cut the tomatoes into cubes.

Peel hard-boiled eggs in advance and cut them lengthwise into 6 parts.

Crumble the cheese.

We are preparing the dressing. For the dressing, pour oil, lemon juice or vinegar into a bowl, add mustard, salt, and pepper and beat thoroughly with a fork or mixer until it becomes an emulsion.

Wash the lettuce leaves, dry them, tear them into small pieces and mix them with 2 spoons of dressing. In this form, spread the leaves evenly on the plate in which the salad will be served.

Lay out the prepared ingredients: eggs, bacon, avocado, tomatoes, cheese, brisket in even strips in random order on the lettuce leaves. Pour the remaining dressing on top of the salad and serve. You can mix the salad before eating. Cobb salad is ready.
