Currant jam. We are preparing red currant jam
red currant – 1 kg;
granulated sugar – 1,5 kg;
water – 300 ml.
This jam is prepared incredibly quickly. The most time-consuming process in its preparation is the preparation of the berry.
The process of making jam from currants (red currants).
Currant berries must be picked, washed and slightly dried from moisture.
We take granulated sugar.
We mix it with water and send it to the tile.
When the syrup boils and the sugar dissolves, you can safely add berries.
Boil the berries for exactly 5 minutes. Pour still hot jam into prepared, sterilized jars that have not cooled down and quickly seal.
We turn the cans upside down, wrap them and keep them like this until they cool completely. After that, we send it to the vault for permanent storage.
The jam turns out to be very beautiful, saturated color. The pulp in jam resembles jelly. Very tasty and fast. This is now my favorite way to make currant jam.
