Curry chicken. Recipe for chicken in curry sauce
chicken breast – 650 g;
large onion – 1 pc.;
large red pepper – 1 pc.;
garlic – 3 large cloves;
medium carrot – 1 pcs.;
curry paste – 2 tbsp. L.;
a small piece of fresh ginger – 4 cm;
chicken broth – half a glass (125 ml);
olive oil – 4 tbsp. L.;
coconut milk – 250 ml;
curry with spices – 1 tbsp. l.
Chicken curry is one of the most delicious recipes of Indian cuisine. These are perfect pieces of chicken breast in a velvety curry sauce with vegetables. This is a great dinner idea for the whole family.
Chicken curry is a very popular dish in Indian cuisine. It can be prepared in different ways. My version has lots of vegetables. I usually serve chicken curry with basmati rice.
The process of cooking curry chicken.
- Clean two chicken fillets and cut into cubes of no more than 2 cm. Add to the meat 1 tbsp. l. curry powder or make your own mixture by mixing together: coriander, chili pepper, pepper, cinnamon, ground cloves, nutmeg, cardamom and cumin. You do not need to add garlic and ginger because you are using them fresh. Mix the meat with spices and set aside. The photo below shows the pieces of chicken before adding the spice.
Then add chopped carrots. Immediately after that, add peeled and chopped red pepper, mix everything and fry over medium heat for 10 minutes. All the time without a lid.
Advice: if you don’t have fresh ginger, add half a teaspoon of ginger powder.
Mix the whole dish and fry for another 5 minutes.
If the dish is too thick, add coconut milk and curry paste to the dish, add more ginger and chili. If you don’t have enough acidity, add lime juice. Add some light syrup to make the dish sweeter. Control the taste of the dish according to your own preferences.
