French-style spicy potatoes – recipe with photo.

It will not be difficult to prepare spicy potatoes, because adding one or another seasoning is not such a difficult task. The question is what seasoning to use. This really needs some understanding.

Ingredients: (for 6-8 servings)
1,5 kilograms of medium-sized potatoes;
olive oil;
1-1/2 tablespoons of French seasoning;
2 tablespoons of parsley;
salt to taste.

For the French seasoning:
2-1/2 tablespoons of coarse salt;
1 tablespoon of cayenne pepper;
1 tablespoon of garlic powder;
1 tablespoon of paprika;
1/2 tablespoon of oregano;
1/2 tablespoon of thyme;
1/2 tablespoon of black pepper;
1/2 tablespoon of onion powder.

Pour salt into a medium bowl, it is best to use coarse salt.

Next, add the cayenne pepper and garlic powder.

Oregano and paprika.

Finally, add thyme and onion powder.

Stir to combine all the spices. If you are a spicy lover, then it is not necessary to strictly follow the recipe, you can add a little more pepper.

You can pour all this into a special vessel and temporarily set it aside. It is even better if you prepare the seasoning in advance and it will stand and be saturated with a special aroma longer.

Olive oil, potatoes, parsley, French seasoning mix. A similar mixture of seasonings is used in French cuisine. If you cook such young potatoes, it will turn out even tastier than you can imagine. You can cook golden potatoes: this variety differs in that it does not need to remove the eyes and it does not need to be cleaned, just rinse well.

Cut the potatoes in half, so there will be more crispy surface.

Place the potatoes in a large bowl so they don’t fall out when you mix the spices.

Spray olive oil on the eye, it is difficult to make a mistake and overdo it.

Sprinkle the French seasoning over the potatoes. Take about one and a half tablespoons.

Mix so that the entire surface of the potatoes is covered with seasoning.

Spread the potatoes on a hot pan or a special sheet.

In the bowl where you seasoned the potatoes, there should be some butter with seasonings. Pour it into the pan. Let the potatoes roast for about 20 minutes. Turn it over and let it fry for the same amount of time. During the last 20 minutes, be careful not to burn the potatoes. Add salt and set aside to cool.

Sprinkle with about two tablespoons of parsley.
