Fried pike under a vegetable pillow. Culinary recipe.
Ingredients:
Fresh pike – 2-3 pcs. (approximately 1,5 kg),
Onion – 5 pcs. (800 g)
Carrot – 3 pcs. (700 g)
salt and pepper
Sour cream – a glass,
Flour and oil for frying pike.
Tomato juice – 2 cups.
Method of cooking:
We cut the pike into portioned pieces, having previously cleaned and rinsed well with water. Salt, sprinkle with freshly ground pepper or a mixture of peppers, roll in flour and fry in oil.
When an eye-pleasing crust appears on both sides, put the fish in a large pan or casserole in one layer.
Cut onions and carrots into long strips
and fry first separately, and then mix together, pour in tomato juice and sour cream. Let it simmer a little, literally a couple of minutes.
After that, put the vegetables on top of the fish and stew over very low heat, covered, for at least half an hour. The fish will become juicy, having absorbed the juice from the vegetables, and the vegetables will become very tasty thanks to the tomato juice and sour cream.
