Green borscht with sorrel and egg – a recipe with a photo

Today’s recipe is green borscht with sorrel. It is quite easy to cook, it turns out very tasty and filling.

Ingredients:
pork ribs – 400 g;
potato – 3 pc.;
carrot – 1 pc.;
onion – 1 pcs.;
fresh sorrel – 300 g;
green onion – 100 g;
salt – 2 tbsp. L.;
black peppercorns – 10 pcs.;
bay leaf – 2-3 pcs.;
vegetable oil;
water – 3 liters (pot 4,5 liters);
boiled egg and sour cream to taste.

The process of making green borscht with sorrel.

Put the pork ribs in cold water and boil the broth.

Finely chop the sorrel. 3 g of sorrel were taken for 300 liters of water.

Chop green onions.

Cut the potatoes into cubes.

Grate the carrots on a coarse grater and sauté in vegetable oil.

Remove the foam and cook the broth for 30 minutes. Put potatoes, a whole onion, carrots, black peppercorns and salt into the boiling broth. Cook for another 30 minutes.

The meat and potatoes are already ready, add sorrel, green onions, and a bay leaf. Cook for another 10 minutes and remove from heat.

Complement the taste of borscht with sour cream and a boiled egg.
