Recently, I wondered – how and from what is bread prepared in bakeries? The answer was not satisfactory, and with inspiration I set about baking homemade bread. I have been providing my family with bread for a week and I intend to continue in the same spirit. And the process is easy even for me! And exciting at that.
I cooked according to an untested recipe (but now it is tested by me), I did everything as written in the book, it turned out perfectly, my husband was ready to eat only bread for dinner, he liked it so much.
Ingredients:
wheat flour – 2,5 cups;
whey – 500 ml;
onion – 1 pc.;
granulated sugar – 2 tbsp. l.;
salt – 1,5 tsp;
vegetable oil – 2 tbsp. l.;
dry yeast – 1,5 tsp.
The method of making homemade bread.
We take 500 ml of whey and heat it a little on the stove or in the microwave.
Pour 3/4 of the warm whey into a large bowl, and leave a little for working with the yeast. Now add dry yeast to the whey.
1 teaspoon of sugar.
Mix and leave for 10 minutes.
Now we mix the whey left in the bowl and the one with yeast and sugar, and add salt here.
The remaining sugar.
And gradually we begin to introduce flour.
When you get a viscous and sticky liquid dough, add vegetable oil.
That’s it, cover the bowl with a cloth and put it in a warm place for 1,5 hours. By the end of this time, cut the onion smaller (and the bread will be incredibly tasty without it).
We add onions to the prepared preparation, mix. The dough turned out porous and completely alive.
We bring it to the desired state: add flour and knead until it turns out to be a not sticky, but not particularly dense dough that is easy to form. To be honest, I don’t care about beauty, a spherical shape is the pinnacle of my efforts. What looks careless, I even like it – it’s downright rustic. Grease the mold a little with oil.
Put in the oven for 35-45 minutes at a temperature of about 170 degrees.
Then we take it out of the mold, sprinkle with water and cover with a towel, let it stand for 10 minutes. And we get soft and fragrant homemade bread.
In the photo, it is still hot, so it looks wet. The taste is excellent, everything in moderation, so the taste is neutral, but the aroma is crazy.
