Homemade dumplings is a favorite dish of many families for more than one generation in a row. Molding dumplings was a great reason to call together numerous relatives and, for example, play a trick on each other by putting hot pepper in the dumplings so that love was passionate, or a coin to add money. You can revive such a tradition even now, because home-made dumplings according to your grandmother’s old recipe will never compare with those offered in stores.

Ingredients:
— 1 kg of boneless pork;
— 2 pcs. bulbs;
— 500 g of flour;
— 1 pc. egg;
– butter;
– ground black pepper to taste;
– salt to taste.

This recipe is designed for 1,5 kg of dumplings.
Cooking time 1 hour.

How to make homemade dumplings.

You need to grind pork and onions with a meat grinder, if you don’t have a meat grinder, you can finely chop the meat and onions. Next, add salt and ground black pepper to taste and mix everything well.

Let’s prepare the dough. Break an egg into a bowl, add salt and 1 cup of warm water, but not too hot, gradually add flour and knead a soft dough.

For sculpting, I use a metal mold, so the finished dough must be divided into small parts.

Roll out one of the parts with a rolling pin into a thin circle. The metal form should be sprinkled with flour so that the dough does not stick.

We cover the form with the rolled dough and put the minced meat in each cell, try to put the minced meat in small parts so that the dough does not tear.

Next, roll out another thin circle and cover the form with it. We spread the dough with our hands and roll it out with a rolling pin, pressing it, but do not press too hard on the rolling pin.

Excess edges will separate from the form by themselves, they must be carefully removed.

Next, turn the mold over and place the dumplings on the table.

Dumplings should be boiled in salted water. When the water boils, add dumplings to it, mix them carefully, bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes. Put the ready dumplings in a bowl with a small piece of butter and the dish is ready. Dumplings can be served with sour cream, vinegar and any sauce to taste, I personally like to eat them with soy sauce.
