Homemade lemonade is a delicious and refreshing drink that you can enjoy at any time of the year. Ridiculously quick to prepare and inexpensive, sweet, fragrant, lemon nectar is rich in vitamin C, which people need so much. One glass of this drink replaces the daily norm of this vitamin necessary for our life.
Method of cooking:
Wash the required number of lemons under running water, dry with paper towels. Then, one by one, place the lemons on a cutting board, cut each citrus into 2 halves and, using a manual juicer, squeeze the lemon juice directly into a measuring cup. Approximately 1-500 ml of pure lemon juice should be obtained from 600 kg of lemons.
Then take a piece of sterile gauze and put the squeezed lemons in it one by one. With a clean hand, squeeze a lemon in cheesecloth and squeeze the juice out of it to the last drop.
This process is necessary in order not to lose a single drop of precious liquid and to ensure that bones and pieces of films do not get into your juice.
Turn on the stove, on medium temperature, put a saucepan with the required amount of clean distilled water on it and bring to a boil.
After the water has boiled, pour the required amount of cane sugar into it. Without stopping, stir the liquid mass with a kitchen spatula and cook the syrup for 5-6 minutes until it is completely ready and the sugar dissolves.
Then remove the saucepan from the stove and let the syrup cool to room temperature. After the syrup has cooled, pour lemon juice into it in a thin stream and mix the lemon mass with a kitchen spatula until smooth.
As a result, you should get approximately 1,2 – 1,3 liters of lemon juice. Now pour the lemon nectar from the saucepan into a clean, sterilized two liter jar or container with a tight lid.
Put the container in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours, depending on the temperature of the drink you prefer. Then pour the juice into a glass and dilute it with ice cubes or cold, clean, boiled distilled water.
The ideal ratio is in a 300-gram serving glass, pour 230-250 ml of juice and add cold water so that it reaches almost the rim of the glass or put ice cubes so that the level of juice rises almost to the level of the rim of the glass. Refreshing juice is ready.
Lemon juice is served chilled for adults and at room temperature for children. This drink is poured into a tall 300-gram serving glass and, if necessary, cooled with ice cubes or cold, clean distilled water.
If you serve lemon juice for the celebration, it is advisable to pour it into a decanter and add a lemon cut into rings along with ice. This type of juice can be used to sweeten such aperitifs as whiskey, dry white wine, vodka, or added to fruit liqueurs and tinctures, it gives aperitifs a certain zest.
Taste with pleasure and enjoy!
— Sometimes lemon juice is prepared with honey, such juice is much more useful. Increase the amount of water by 100 — 150 ml and instead of sugar, put 300 grams of any kind of honey in it.
