How to cook Ukrainian borscht. A recipe for delicious borscht

For a 4-liter pot.
pork meat – 0,5 kg;
beans – 12 cups;
medium beet – 1 pc.;
medium carrot – 1 pcs.;
medium onion – 1 pcs.;
potatoes – 4-5 pcs.;
cabbage – 14 small heads;
tomato juice (or borscht dressing) – 0,7 l;
oil – 4 tbsp. L.;
pepper, salt, greens, sour cream – to taste.

Borscht is the pride of Ukrainian cuisine. This dish has won the favor of millions of people around the world. I want to show you an easy way to make the most delicious borscht. The process itself cannot be called complicated, so even young and inexperienced cooks can safely try their hand at it.

Incredibly fragrant, thick, rich, spicy and incredibly tasty. After trying it once, you will fall in love forever and forever!

The process of preparing Ukrainian borscht.

Cut 0,5 kg of pork into medium pieces

Wash and peel one medium carrot. Rub it on a coarse grater.

In the same way, wash, clean and rub the beetroot on a coarse grater.

Cut the onion into medium pieces.

Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut into medium pieces.

Cut white cabbage.

Finely chop the greens.

Put a 4-liter saucepan on the fire. Throw in the chopped pork.

Pour vegetable oil into a heated pan. Pour grated carrots and beets. Stir and fry until the vegetables are half cooked.

To the semi-finished meat, add the beans, which we have previously soaked in water for 2 hours. Throw in a bay leaf, salt and mix.

As soon as the water boils, throw in the fried carrots and beets.

Pour vegetable oil into a heated pan. Add the chopped onion. Fry it until golden. Then pour tomato juice or borscht dressing. Let it boil for about 5-7 minutes.

As soon as the meat is ready, pour in the potatoes. As soon as the potatoes are ready, pour in the cabbage. Add pepper and mix. Let the borscht boil for 5 minutes.

Then pour tomato juice. Let the borscht boil again for 5 minutes. At the end, add chopped greens. Turn off the heat and let the borscht infuse for about 20 minutes.

Now the borscht is ready. If desired, add sour cream and chopped greens to the plate.

This is how the most popular first dish in Ukraine is prepared so simply and easily. The borscht turns out incredibly tasty, aromatic, thick and filling. Bon appetit!
