More recently, I discovered a very interesting and festive option for forming and serving my favorite salads. Believe me, it is only necessary to add one single ingredient and our favorite snack will delight us with a completely new appearance, and the taste will not change at all. We are talking about gelatin. Using it, even the traditional “Olivier” and “herring under a fur coat” will surely play with new colors and surprise your guests.

– 3 boiled chicken eggs;
— 200 g of ham;
— 100 g of canned corn;
— 1 boiled carrot;
— 100 g of pitted olives;
— a bunch of green onions;
— 2 st. l. sour cream;
— 2 st. l. mayonnaise;
— 25 g of gelatin;
– salt

How to make salad jelly with a photo.

First of all, I recommend preparing our gelatin for use – we pour the contents of the bag into a deep bowl and pour boiled water at room temperature (as indicated in the instructions). As a rule, gelatin now on sale is always quick-dissolving, so 10-15 minutes will be more than enough for it to swell.

In the meantime, we will deal with other components. For example, let’s peel the eggs from the shell.

Next, cut the ham into cubes. Let’s put it in a salad bowl.

Add canned corn to it.

Cut pre-boiled carrots with the same cubes. Put in a salad bowl.

Cut the olives into rings and add to the rest of the products.

It’s the green onion’s turn – we also chop it up and throw it into the salad bowl.

Now dissolve the swollen gelatin in a water bath to a liquid state and combine it with sour cream and mayonnaise. Mix everything.

Pour this mass over our chopped products, add a little salt, mix.

We spread half of it in a thin, even layer on the bottom of a plastic food container. Place whole boiled eggs on top.

Then we cover the eggs with the second half of the salad mass, distributing it evenly, and put it in the cold for an hour or so.

Before serving, remove from the refrigerator and cut into portions.
