Potato casserole with mushrooms and chicken. A dish with a photo.

If there is no time to stand by the stove and you need a proven, clear recipe that will not fail and the dish will turn out to be tasty and very filling, then this casserole is a suitable option. At the same time, it will take very little.

You don’t need any professional chef skills, you only need a minimal set of products.

A few points to note:
— cut the ingredients (tomatoes, mushrooms and cheese) immediately before cooking so that they do not dry out in the air;

— it is better to take champignons fresh, as marinated ones can give the casserole a taste of vinegar;

– potatoes can be grated on a fine grater or only on a large grater, but personally I prefer the “fifty to fifty” option.

potatoes – 3-4 pcs.;
chicken fillet – 1 pcs.;
eggs – 1 pcs.;
flour – 2 tbsp. L.;
tomatoes – 1-2 pcs.;
champignons – 5-7 pcs.;
hard cheese – 100 g;
sunflower oil;
salt, spices.

Preparation of potato casserole.

Grate the potatoes (if you have a food processor, this point is done instantly), add flour, a pinch of salt, beat an egg and mix. Put the resulting mixture in an oiled form (it can be ceramic, glass or any other form), evenly distributing it on the bottom and walls.

Lay out the chicken fillet pre-fried with spices (it is enough to fry the fillet a little, as it will in any case undergo additional heat treatment when baked in the oven).

Lay out a layer of tomatoes that can be cut into circles or cubes.

Then a layer of mushrooms.

Add a layer of grated cheese.

Send our puff pastry to the oven, bake for 40 minutes at a temperature of 190-200 degrees.

Potato casserole is very juicy and tempting with its crispy and golden, cheesy crust. All family members will appreciate such a simple and tasty dish.
