After baking the pumpkin pie, I had the other half of the pumpkin left over. I decided to use it for jam, which turns out delicious, since all the pieces of pumpkin are soaked in sugar syrup and lemon juice. Try it, I think you will like it.

pumpkin – 0,5 pumpkin;
lemon – 1 pcs .;
sugar in proportion to sliced ​​pumpkin 1/1;
water – 0,5 st.

The method of making pumpkin jam.

I used the amount of pumpkin I had on hand. Therefore, all proportions are indicated for half a small pumpkin. Cut the pumpkin into pieces, remove the skin.

Then cut into small cubes.

In order to calculate the volume of the resulting sliced ​​pumpkin, I used a deep bowl. Then she measured the amount of sugar with it. Proportion 1/1. As many cups of pumpkin turned out, she added the same amount of sugar.

We use the lemon with the peel, remove only the seeds, if there are any.

Chop the lemon into small cubes and combine with the pumpkin.

Place the sliced ​​pumpkin and lemon in the vessel in which we will cook the jam. Sprinkle with sugar. Add half a glass of drinking water.

We put it on the stove. As soon as the jam boils, we reduce the fire (heat). The total cooking time is 45 minutes. Stir periodically.

While the jam is cooking, prepare the container. Wash the jars well. We send it to the microwave oven for 2-3 minutes. We warm up. Pour the lids (I screw them on) with water and put them on the stove. We are waiting for boiling. Then remove and cover the warmed cans. Pour the finished jam into a hot container.

Tightly twist the lids. Turn the top upside down and cover the top with a kitchen towel. Leave until completely cooled. Then we put the jars in the cold.

The jam is very tasty, it even somewhat resembles honey in taste. Enjoy your summer preparations.
