Salad for lunch – a salad recipe.
This salad can serve as a complete lunch. Cheese is a high-calorie product, just like bread. So I eat this as an independent dish. But some people can serve such a salad to a barbecue without bread. And if you marinate the shish kebab in a sweet barbecue sauce, it will be simply a bomb.
Ingredients:
Romano lettuce – 6 pcs.;
tomato – 1 pc., large;
carrot – 1 pc., small;
very young peas – 1 large handful (these peas can be eaten with the skin, because the films have not yet formed, but if there are no such peas, then you can simply replace them with a cucumber);
avocado – 1 pcs .;
dry bread – to taste;
peanut butter – to taste, about 1 tbsp. l. (can be replaced with ground peanuts, to which add a little salt and sugar to taste);
blue cheese, for example, Roquefort – 2-3 tbsp. l.;
sour cream – 2-3 tbsp. L.;
salt, pepper – to taste;
dill – 5 sprigs.
We are preparing a salad for lunch.
I added the bread later, I must confess. Peas are easily replaced with cucumber. It is as sweet and fresh as a cucumber, only fattier (if you are not familiar with it).
Wash the salad, dry it with a paper towel so that the water does not dilute the sauce. I tore it up with my hands like this.
Carrots are young and sweet. Grated on a coarse grater.
I cut the peas coarsely.
And now I need to cover the leaves with sauce. The sauce is the simplest. Blue cheese is pressed with a fork (and I don’t care if it’s good or bad: sour cream will tolerate anything).
I add sour cream to a creamy consistency, it is about the same volume as there was cheese. I mix well. If small lumps remain – no problem.
I mixed it with the leaves and tried it. In my case, it is necessary to add salt. It depends a lot on the cheese.
Next, I cut tomatoes and avocado into cubes and added them to the salad.
The bread was dry. If it is not dry enough, it must be dried.
Spread a thin layer of peanut butter on the bread, just for the smell.
Chopped dill into a salad.
She tore the bread with large breadcrumbs and sprinkled them on the finished salad.
Anyone who loves blue cheese will understand me.
