Salad with boiled tongue. How to prepare a salad.

I tried an unusual salad in a cafe the other day. I remembered the recipe and decided to cook it so as not to put it in a long box. I think now, in the season of autumn berries and cabbage, it will be especially relevant. The bitter taste of lingonberries in it is perfectly balanced by a delicate tongue and sweet corn.

I liked the home version of my own preparation even more. In the original, hard cheese was added. He seemed superfluous to me.

My husband really liked the salad. So I’m adding it to my collection of men’s salads. Although, if you replace the dressing with harmful mayonnaise, it will also be suitable for girls who are watching their figure as a light and hearty dinner.

Ingredients:
fresh white cabbage – 200 g;
beef tongue (boiled) – 100 g;
canned corn – 100 g;
eggs – 2 pcs.;
lingonberry – 50 g;
salt, pepper – as desired;
mayonnaise.

Preparation of tongue salad.

Finely chop the cabbage, put it in a salad bowl, add salt and mix it slightly with your hands. While we prepare other ingredients, it will give juice.

Add some canned corn.

We cut the tongue (pre-boiled) into strips.

Cut the eggs, also hard-boiled in advance, into cubes.

Add a handful of lingonberries.

I think it will be good with cranberries too. It will be necessary to experiment next time.
Season everything with mayonnaise. We salt it. You can replace the dressing with sour cream for ease, or mix it 50/50.

The salad becomes even tastier if, firstly, you don’t spare the dressing, and let the dish, already ready, stand in the refrigerator for half an hour.
