The recipe for this salad, I confess, is an experiment for which I carefully prepared and bought all the products specially (well, except sorrel, of course).

The most important thing is that not only I was satisfied with the result – my friends, for whose arrival I prepared this salad among other goodies, were the first to notice it on the table – it was so bright and beautiful, it stood out against the background of meat and side dishes. The taste was excellent – that’s what everyone said in unison.

I want to note right away that in combination with the proposed products, in addition to sorrel, spinach, arugula or other types of salad greens will also feel great in this salad. Although the taste, of course, will be completely different.

Ingredients:
— a bunch of sorrel;
– 1 tomato;
— 150 g of cottage cheese;
— 7 quail eggs;
— 1 st. l. French mustard;
— 1 st. l. olive oil;
— a pinch of salt;
— a few green onion feathers.

How to cook a salad with sorrel with a photo.

Sorrel leaves should be carefully sorted, washed and allowed to dry. Then you should just tear them with your hands and put them in a salad bowl. We also send chopped green onion feathers there.

Cut the tomato into fairly large pieces and put it next to the greens.

Separately mix mustard seeds, olive oil and a pinch of salt.

Pour the resulting sauce over the greens and tomatoes and mix.

Cut the cheese into small cubes.

Peel the tiny quail eggs from the shell and cut them in half.

On a flat and wide dish, we first put the already dressed salad, and on top half of the eggs and pieces of cheese. That’s all. Sweet taste!
