Stewed potatoes with meat – a recipe with a photo

Today we will prepare stewed potatoes with meat. This is a simple and at the same time very tasty and satisfying dish that will save you more than once.

Stewed potatoes with meat are fragrant and very tasty. The meat is tender and juicy, just melts in your mouth. Be sure to cook.

Ingredients:
potatoes – 1,5 kg;
meat – 500 g;
onion – 1 pcs.;
carrot – 1 pc.;
bay leaf – 1 pc.;
dill – 1 bunch;
salt;
ground black pepper;
vegetable oil for frying.

The process of cooking stewed potatoes for dinner.

Cut half a kilo of meat into cubes of about 3 cm. In this case, it is pork, but you can take any other.

Put the chopped meat on a hot pan with a small amount of sunflower oil. Fry the meat on all sides for about 5 minutes over high heat until golden brown. It is necessary to turn the meat only after it has been fried. It is not necessary to turn often.

While the meat is frying, cut one onion into small cubes.

Grate one carrot on a coarse grater.

The meat is already fried, add onions to it and fry for another 2-3 minutes.

Now add grated carrots, fry everything for another 2 minutes.

Pour about a glass of boiling water over the meat and vegetables and simmer over low heat with the lid on for 1 hour.

Cut the potatoes into small cubes.

Put all the potatoes in a pot with a volume of at least 4 liters. We put stewed meat here. Pour boiling water over everything so that the water barely covers the potatoes, and the meat remains on top. Salt and pepper and mix. We put the pan on the fire, put a bay leaf and cover it with a lid. After boiling, stew the potatoes for 15-20 minutes.

At the end, add finely chopped dill, mix and serve.
