To be honest, I don’t know a person who doesn’t like strawberry jam. Every hostess has her own recipe for this wonderful dessert. I am sure that it will not hurt you to have another simple recipe for making strawberry jam in your culinary arsenal. The peculiarity of this recipe is that the strawberries perfectly retain their taste and color.

strawberries – 5 kg;
sugar – 3 kg;
sheet gelatin – 10 pcs.;
citric acid – 1 tsp.

Jam making process.

At the first stage of preparation, strawberries must be well washed and cleaned of tails. Then put it in a pan and cover it with sugar.

Leave the strawberries overnight to infuse. On another day, put the strawberries to cook over high heat until boiling. When the strawberries boil, reduce the heat and cook for another 15 minutes. At the same time, it is necessary to remove the foam.

Again, leave the strawberries to stand for another day. On the second day, boil again for 15 minutes and drain the second part of the syrup.

The next stage is crushing strawberries with a blender. Look at the thickness of the jam, if it is thick, then pour a little syrup. Next, you need to dilute the gelatin in the hot syrup. It is slowly introduced into the jam together with citric acid.

Sterilize jam jars and lids. Pour the jam into a saucepan, bring to a boil, remove the foam and immediately pour into jars. Close the jars with lids.
