Veal with rice in pots

1. Wash the veal and cut it into small cubes. Wash and clean the tomatoes and peppers. Cut the pepper into thin strips, and grate the tomatoes on a large grater. Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic.

2. Pour a teaspoon of oil into three portioned pots and put a tablespoon of washed rice. Salt and sprinkle with basil to taste. Then lay out in layers: a third of the veal, half of the pepper, tomatoes and onions with garlic, again a third of the veal, the rest of the vegetables, the rest of the veal. Finally, pour 1/3 cup of meat broth into each pot, put 2 tbsp. spoons of canned peas and 2 tbsp. spoons of grated hard cheese. Season each layer with salt and sprinkle with dried basil to taste. 3. Cover the pots with lids and put them in an oven preheated to 180°C for 40-50 minutes. After that, remove the lids and leave the pots in the oven for another 20 minutes, so that the broth boils completely and the cheese turns brown.

* You can prepare the dish according to this recipe not in portions, but in a baking dish, covering it with a lid or wrapping it in foil.
