If you have never made jam from zucchini, then definitely try it! You and your guests will be pleasantly surprised by the piquant taste of these delicacies!

zucchini – 1 kg;
granulated sugar – 700 g;
orange – 0.5 pcs .;
lemon – 0.5 pcs .;
plain water – 0.5 cups.

How to make zucchini jam.

Such jam is cooked very easily. Judge for yourself. Zucchini should be cleaned from the skin and seeds. And cut into small cubes.

Pour sugar into the vessel for cooking jam. And add water to it. Mix the syrup thoroughly. A small comment: in the original recipe there was a classic combination – 1:1, that is, it was recommended to take 1 kg of sugar. I think that this is a lot, the jam turns out to be nauseating, so I put less – 700-800 g.

Drop the sliced ​​zucchini directly into the cold syrup and put the pan on a slow fire.

Meanwhile, prepare the citrus fruits. I will note right away: you can use only lemon or only orange. I have a citrus mix this time. I passed the orange through a meat grinder (along with the peel!), and cut the lemon into cubes (again, along with the peel!)

As soon as the zucchini boils, add fruit to them. And leave the jam to boil over low heat for about 45-50 minutes. If you want, you can add citric acid (about 0,5 tsp), pectin (the same amount) at the end of cooking, and then you will get jam.

All that remains is to pour the jam into jars. From 1 kg of zucchini, I get 2 half-liter jars and 1 jar with a capacity of 200 ml, that is, the output is 1,2 liters.

I turn the jars with ready-made jam onto the lids and leave to cool. And then – please come to the table.

Our wonderful jam is ready! No one would ever guess that it was cooked from ordinary zucchini. Of course, if the person trying it is already a fan of this extremely delicious, amber-beautiful jam!
